Dana  has been involved in the food and beverage industry since she was 7 years old, creating batches of soup over the stove. Although the soup was not edible, it was her calling. As a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Dana was a chef for the Marriott Corporation. She enjoyed cooking, but customer service and creativity with event planning became a quick interest. Over the past 10 years, Dana has worked as a catering sales, banquet, restaurant and corporate manager and later as an Associate Program Director, in the world of Medical Education. She has traveled several years within the United States for medical education companies as an on-site manager.
 
Dana lived in Atlanta for several years and had an opportunity to manage many events from small intimate VIP gatherings for the Atlanta Braves, to larger events for thousands with the Atlanta Falcons, WWF wrestling, SEC Championships, Atlanta Hawks and Corporate Fundraisers.

 

Nusret’s love for the hospitality industry started while she worked in a friend’s restaurant while attending college. It was there that she “learned the ropes”, working and training in every aspect of the business, from hostess to chef. Years later, she move on to the world of meeting and event planning, starting as an event coordinator, then worked her way to Senior Planner, planning and executing many complex meetings and events. As a former owner and operator of a successful Café, she also has solid business operations and management experience.

But it wasn't until she started coordinating parties for friends & family, that a light bulb turned on, and she realized her true passion. With her entrepreneurial sprit, creativity, and extensive experience in all aspects of the hospitality and planning business, she works hard to make sure each event is unique and runs seamlessly.
 


Although Dana & Nusret have known each other for years, personally and professionally, it was not until 2005 did the decision to “combine their talents”.  After catering and planning a successful party Allumé was born.
 
 Between them, Dana and Nusret have over 11 years of event and meeting planning experience. They oversee all operations, and along with their staff handle the marketing as well as the consulting, event design, planning, decorating and coordinating.
